I sent myself and OOO doc to my work but can't open it. I'm needing to do some work from home for a company that will be expecting to open a Word document. Is there any way I can reformat the document? It needs to be editable at the other end.

| You need to save the document in MS Word format. File-->Save As--->Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc). |

Or you can also search for websites that offer online convertion of the document but I also done it finally by using the option when you save it thru the format of MS word.

If you are using windows there is no need to specify an email client. However, if you are not using windows you need to specify using this is the procedure:
You need to specify the email client you want to use.
To Specify the Email Client for the Solaris and Linux Platforms
In OpenOffice.org Writer, choose Tools → Options → Internet → E-mail
Click the ellipsis (...) button next to the E-mail program box.
Locate the email client you want to use and click the Open button.
Alternatively you could covert the file to a word document file. This should help |
