I have a table with data in it and in about the middle-ish column; I want that particular column to have only one row because the data does not vary at all (it's a constant). How do I do this? I am using OpenOffice.org 3.2 and I would very much appreciate any feedback!

Thanks in advance!

I am not quite sure what you mean here. Have you tried to use the Table > Merge cells command?

Do you mean something like this-

or this-

Yes the bottom screenshot! How do you do that? Is there a way to get it done without merging? (I tried to merge but I only managed to add a row with one column instead of a column with one row. I am probably doing something wrong though)

Block the column with your mouse, right click, Cell>Merge

That did it!

Thanks to both of you!

Edit: I just wanted to add that I misunderstood the "merge" term earlier.
