OLE from Math to wordpad

I have created an object in Math and am attempting to link it into a wordpad file. However I am only able to see about half of the first letter in the object - the font size is huge. I don't have a problem if I embed the object. I can link to other objects (photos etc.) from wordpad without a problem.
