|
|
I have built a simple list of items and using the A to Z button can sort them without issue. The problem comes when the first item is out of order e.g.
pate
beef
burgers
chicken
rashers
sausages
I click on pate and select the whole list and select the sort toolbar button. Everything on the list reorders apart from the first item. I am forced to include the empty cell above pate in the range but then it shifts the whole list up one cell.
I assume this is a very bug! |

When you go to the menu Data>Sort. and the sort window opens.
Click on Options and uncheck "Range contains column labels" |

Thank you
Now how do I stop it from assuming all my other lists include a label as I don't want to have to do what you suggest for each list I have |

| You won't need to do it for every list. Once you have unchecked that option, it is automatically followed for the whole document. |

I am using OO 3.2 and what you say is not correct. Using Data->Sort->Current Selection->Options....Range contains column labels
I continually have to deselect this setting everytime I do a sort on a list in my spreadsheet even if its a list i've just sorted that option is selected when i go back in!! |
