While listening to a lecture, I have seen the lecturer's tech assistant edit slides and put notes up on the screen, probably using PowerPoint. There would be one thing on the screen, and then the screen would do that almost imperceptible flash of changing slides, and more notes would appear on the screen along with the previous. It is clear that they were doing this live because occasionally there would be a misspelling which they later fixed.

I have found, using the Navigator tool in live mode, how I can edit slides during a presentation, but everything I am doing is on the projection unit too. How do I/can I keep the previous slide up till I've finished my changes?

I don't think this is possible until Impress supports Dual Monitor.

Unfortunately, I don't think this feature can be easily implemented since OO supports multiplatform... But I heard it is scheduled to be included with v2.0.... so hopefully this will be implemented soon.

I also don't think it's possible.

I tried to work around the problem by writing a program to move the window with the presentation to the second monitor, but it keeps moving back to the primary one for some reason... if i can get it working, i'll make it available to anyone who wants to use it before OO supports dual monitors.
