Every time I do a search, the forum lets me know it's found 14,000+ results. Navigating among the page links ("2, 3, 4... 286 287 Next") at the bottom of the screen, however, does not return a new page of results--it returns an error message: "No topics or posts met your search criteria". Well, of course this is absurd, since page I'm navigating from has the first 50 of them. What gives? |

Test: search for "macro". Yep, I see all the pages.
Yes, I do see the same thing. In fact, now that you mention it, I have seen this before. As a low level admin, I do not have any ability to fix this (assuming that I knew how). Although I do not have a fix for the forum, I may be able to provide a work around:
Go to Google, and enter this text into the search bar:
site:www.oooforum.org no access more than 50 search results
The first portion, site:www.oooforum.org, tells Google to ONLY find results from this forum. In my opinion, this does not fix the annoying broken behavior of the forum search results, but, it does provide a tenable work around.
Note that I did poke around a bit to see if there is a known issues with PHPBB (the forum software used here), but, I did not find anything and I really must get some sleep.
Sorry for your troubles. _________________ --

| If you're getting 14000+ results on every search, you need to refine your searches. I normally wouldn't even bother trying to look through the forum search results until the total is down to a few hundred or less. If you're searching for multiple terms, try using the "search for all terms" option instead of "search for any terms..." |
