en dash indents next graf

I use a lot of quotations in my work. After the quote, I put the author's name on the next line, preceded by an en dash. But when I hit enter after the author's name, the next line comes up indented and with an en dash, as though I were making a list. How do I prevent this?

Uncheck: Apply numbering - symbol: *
