Hi all,

I need a formula to calculate commission for self employed workers I hire. This case the worker is a DJ. His/her revenue per night will be based on total amount of tickets sold, pre-sale and door, and total amount of sales at the bar. There will be a flat rate in circumstances very little people show up. Percentage will start at 10.5% and drop down to 5% by the time we hit total sales of say 12000 euro.

The percentage should not step down but slope down gradually so as to prevent sudden drops in worker's revenue. How can I create a formula based on a sliding scale (10.5 to% 5%) that will calculate workers commission based on total sales that night?

Thanks so much in advance.
