Frustrated APHG project, Impress, Narration, Sound midi

Here's the rundown. I have Windows XP at home. I use the open office beta thing right now. I saved my powerpoint as a .PPT ( It has pictures, text, narration from evoice, and a midi file insert for a national anthem. )
So i have it saved as a .PPT
Now i send it via email to myself. I get to school, i saved it to my documents at school. ( The systems at school run windows 7.) I try to open it with Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2007. It errors and gives me, "Powerpoint can't read from <file name/directory> No text converter is installed for this file type.
