Hello to all, I am very new at this so would appreciate any help. Also a new member.
When I open a new text document I get more pages than I need, how can I remove the unwanted texts. As soon as I add a photo for example another text document appears and I can't remove it.

What operating system and what version of OOo?
How are you adding the photo?

Hi there
The version of open office is 2.1. 9095 if the means anything to you. It was aready installed when I bought the computer. I have uploaded photos from my pic or document files quite a few times with no problems. I have been able to remove a black text before
by adding a pic and then clicking onto cut and it went but it wont do that now. I usually send the document by PDF, which has been okay. I can see I have a lot to learn!

You are using a very old version of OOo. I suspect that few if any forum readers will have it still on their computers so it will make trouble shooting the problem rather difficult.
I'd suggest that you upgrade to OOo 3.2.1 available at OOo . You do not need to remove the 2.1 version. You can have Version 2 and Version 3 both installed with no problem.
If you are then having the same problem people here are more likely to be able to help. Sorry that I cannot offer more help.
