Axis Title Font Problem

I would like to change one word in my x-axis title (of a graph) to italic font. For example: Population Density of Euglena. However I can't figure out how to just change Euglena without the whole sentence being italic. Thanks for the help.

I have not been using the chart function in a long time, but indeed, I see that it seems not possible anymore to apply formatting (e.g. italics, supper/subscripts, etc.) to axis lables. Formerly, one would just edit the label directly, and using shortcuts, you could apply formatting to selected characters.
