Hi,

I am just switching from MSO to OOo.

Job based I have to work with asian coded languages. Up till now I could open my .doc containing asian characters (chinese simplified) in Winword, save it as a .rtf and open it on a mac (os 9) in Pagemaker 6.5 or illustrator 8 and work with the chinese characters. But under OOo the rtf format seems to be changed. if I open it on the mac, the chinese characters are not legible. I looked at the .rtf files produced by Winword and by Writer, and they differ. I think, it is because OOo uses Unicode differently from Winword.

So does anybody know anything specific. And how do I transfer the chinese characters to my mac using only Writer?
