|
|
Open Office 1.1.2
WinXP Pro
Logged in as administrator.
Trying to install for multi user workstation (no server involved).
Downloaded install zip file and extracted off of C drive.
Ran install from command prompt with /net command.
Installation completed with no errors.
There are no links off the Start >> Programs menu.
Open Office is not listed in the control panel.
No quickstarter in system tray.
Went to C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org1.1.2\program and noticed that all the application icons prompt to reinstall. Then I get a message you can't install in the same directory.
I also noticed a usr folder directly of the C: drive, C:\user\registry\cache, with the files org.openoffice.setp and orp.openoffice.vlc.
I trying to make this Windows Box completed open source. Still have alot of games that have not been converted to linux.
Any help would be appreciated,

Vahju,
if you run the SETUP again, there should be an option called REPAIR.
Try this first.
If this doesn't succeed it is best to remove ALL of OpenOffice.org
and to perform a new install.
Don't know what build you are using but this should be the way.

| Once you have done the network installation each user must also install their own small set of files (Workstation install). Yes, this would be in a seperate directory for that user. |
