I am typing numbers in a table. When I typed the figure 10.00 in a cell & then click on another cell to enter next figure, the figure 10.00 is automatically changed to just 10. I have tried turning off the auto correct but the problem stays.
The same thing happens if I click Save.

Since you are using a Table in Writer . . . you have the option to Format the Number.
- Select the cells in your table you want to format
- From the Menu: Table -> Number Format...
- From the pop-up display . . . to the right of Decimal Places choose the number you want . . . probably 2 in the box
- Press the OK button
I hope this helps, please be sure to let me / us know.

Thank you. I am sure your suggestion would have solved my problem.
What happened was, I accidentally stumbled on the solution although it was different from your suggestion.
I went to Tools > Option > OpenOffice.org Writer > Table
When the menu opened, I unchecked the box for Number Recognition.
Since then, the problem hasn't reoccurred. |
