| I'm a novice user and I need some help, please. I created a chart for an Economics class with years of data. I saved it and closed it, but when I opened it again, the values in the chart were gone! The original data is there but the chart is an empty box with a number 1 on the x-axis. Could someone please tell me what to do? Thank you. |

When you double click the chart the range of cells that it uses will be surrounded by thin blue lines.
If the surrounded range is not what you expect then right-click the chart then select "Data Ranges..." to bring up the "Data Ranges" dialog where you can adjust the chart's data ranges.

| Thank you for your response, but I don't want to re-select the data range. If I am happy with the range I am using, and I simply want to use my chart, how do I make the existing chart visible again? The chart now is completely covered by a gray box. I only want to view it so that I can print it as is. |
