|
|
I am an Excel convert on both my Mac and PC. I am trying to figure out how to duplicate the same formatting from one sheet to the next within the same spreadsheet/workbook.
In Excel I have always done it through "Edit>Copy" and "Edit>Paste Special."
So far, I have not been able to get that to work in OO on my Mac. The cell content is coppied okay, but the column widths remain at the starting default in the newer sheet.
Any suggestions other than re-formatting each column and sheet seperately???
Thanks in advance.

Based on your description . . . this is how I would accomplish the task.
- At the bottom are the Sheets in your Calc file. Right click on the sheet you want to COPY from.
- From the pop-up menu, choose: Move/Copy Sheet...
- Select where in the list of Sheets you want your NEW sheet to be placed ( this is in the Insert before box)
- From the pop-up menu, at the bottom, make sure the Copy check box is selected ( contains a check mark )
- Press the OK button
- You may elect to rename the name of the NEW sheet, if you desire.
- Smile and say: "Gee Sliderule, that was easy. Now all I have to do is mark the forum post as [Solved].
I hope this helps, please be sure to let me / us know.

Thanks to add [Solved] in your first post Title ( edit button ) if your issue has been fixed / resolved. |

Gee Sliderule that was easy.
I am so pleased that you answered me so promptly. Before posting the question, I read several posts that sounded like the same question and the answers indicated that it was more of a wish list item.
I am using ver 3.2.1. How long has the solution you provided been part of Calc?
Again, thanks. |
