If there are already tutorials out there for this, please be kind enough to point me in the right direction or provide search terms that would yield good results. I am just beginning to learn my way around base and database vocabulary in general.
I do not know how to use macros or any other advanced methods. Although I would consider myself an intermediate user.
I would like to create a form with Student names in the first column and classroom dates or assignments (Pass/Fail) in each additional column that are controlled by checkboxes. So looking at the form you would see:
Student ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||Date/Assignment ||||||||||||||||||||Date/Assignment
John Doe ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||checkbox ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||checkbox
Mary Jane ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||checkbox ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||checkbox
a Checked box would = yes, the student was present OR yes they passed the assignment and an unchecked box would = no, student was not present OR no, the student failed the assignment or has not completed the assignment.
I have been searching all day for a possible solution and would like to know:
1. Is this possible?
2. Would it require an advanced knowledge to create it?
The final question I hope to receive an answer to is can I then print a report for a single student or group of students that will show absences and completed/incomplete work?
I have tried to be as specific as possible, but if I need to clarify a point please let me know.
Thanks for any help you can offer. _________________ For every solution there is a problem. |

Somewhere on the forum I believe there is a long discussion about something similar that a poster was developing. You might want to do a search on the forum and see what turns up. _________________ jrkrideau
