Removing Files takes forever during the install process

I am attempting to update from Ver 3.2 to Ver 3.3 the install process is in the removing files process. The status bar is about 25% across the status bar and this has taken 1 hour, is this normal, I tried uninstall with Revo uninstall but it doesn't find the old ver 3.2 to uninstall. Do I just continue to wait for file removal?
