When I completed installing "OOo_3.3.0_Win_x86_install-wJRE_zh-TW .exe"(traditional Chinese version) and ran OpenOffice,after near 1 minute silence, a warning box jumped and show as below

[C:\Documnts and Settings\use\Application
Data\OpenOffice.org\3\user\extensions\shared\registry\com.sun.star.comp.deployment.configuation.PackegeRegistryBackend\registered_packages.db] Berkeley Db
error (0): Db::open: File exists

and closed OO automatically.

Because of that, I can't use OO,Is there anyone caould help me?
thank you

Welcome to the forum.

Delete the user directory

C:\Documents and Settings\use\Application Data\OpenOffice.org\3\user\

and try again.

Does this help?

I remove the folder but it did not help, still the same error
Seems like OO looks for file: registered_packages.db, but when I look up the folder there is no such file, so it pops up and Error. I remember that before an OO crash I had 2-3 extension installed... and seems like they are missing now,...

Download the version without Java and install that.

Hi, please help.
I was using Open Office 3.2.1 on my ibookG4, OSX 10.4.11 PPC for about 3 weeks, and suddenly it refuses to open. I un-installed, and re-installed OOo 3.2.1, but still the same problem. I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone help me please?

A long shot: Reset your user profile. Click here for help how to do that.

If that doesn't work, you may want to try at the new forum (see my sig for the link), there are more mac users out there than here.
