So, I'm trying to make a spreadsheet with values at the top that relates to everything I'm doing in the spreadsheet.
Then, below, I'm enteriing a set of values per row and having the result of the values of the top and in the rows being displayed in the same row.
The problem is, I only want one of the cells to change. I don't figure there's a way to have one cell in a formula not change and the other change.

So, what I've done, is in an area of the spreadsheet that's not being seen, is set about 20 rows to refer to the original values at the top of the spread sheet.... Then the entries added up are the ones in the row and the the ones off to the side. However, in trying to quicken the making of these entries, I STILL can't copy and paste because in trying to help me by changing the cells referenced when I copy and paste,, it really doesn't.

TO SUMMARIZE.
Is there any way to turn off the "smart" formula changing when copy and pasting in OO.o?

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but it seems you might be looking at setting some cell references as relative [A1, B2 ...] and some as absolute [$A$1, $B$2, ....]? Absolute references will not change.

You're welcome. I solve the simpler problems here. The awesome people are the ones I read ...and learn.
