|
|
I have a two-column paragraph sitting in a text frame. My frequent problem in this scenario is that the second column ends up being one line shorter than the first column. Sometimes we can add text to get the second column the same length as the first but that doesn't help in this case. Today I tried adding a column break, but that didn't seem to help much. I try changing the size of the frame - it won't squish down smaller, but if I make it large enough, more text will slip over to the left column (even worse). How do I fix the problem?
I was going to upload a screen dump, but I don't see anyway to do that. Looks like Img requires a location on the internet to grab the image from.

Correct, you need to upload files to another website.
If your columns differ only one line in length, you can either add or delete text to make the equally long, or you can add or remove paragraph breaks. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

I tried adding paragraph breaks, but this did not seem to help.
Attached is a screen dump of the top of the page. I've clicked the button to turn on the invisible character symbols.
This two-column paragraph is in a frame (with the two-column attribute turned on in the frame). The rest of the page is just text.
So what is the difference between the sizes of the paragraph marks? Is the size difference just reflecting the bolding of the text?
So with the Img directive, is the image uploaded and not needed at the URL anymore? |

This problem is still open. Adding more text did not seem to help. Shall I file a bug report? |

I have reposted a screendump of the paragraph sitting in its frame, along with a screendump of the frame panel (columns tab). Paragraph markings are turned on.

Well, why isn't the screendump showing?
Try again...

Ok, the path is up, but don't know why the [img] scene didn't work (I've done it before)
Anyways, the ? about the uneven column is still standing. |
