Can someone please tell me how to add a column of figures in which there are some blank spaces. I tried but was only successful in adding together the cells down to the blank one. The ones with figures in below the blank one were ignored.

Type in the formula; don't rely on the Sigma summation icon to do the work. If you have data in cells from A1 to A10, with some missing, still type =SUM(A1:A10) for your formula.
