I'm having issues when exporting to PDF or printing to Adobe PDF for a specific PDF type.

The main things are: Any gradients I've used get this swirl or stripped pattern. Funky fonts I've converted to curves to manipulate sometimes streak. Any transparencies white out completely.

I need to create high-end PDFs for book covers and I love the features and ease of the Draw program. II downloaded a trial of Coreldraw and it is wretched.

Can anyone help me out as to why this is happening and tell me how to fix it if there's a way? I would really prefer to use OO. I've not come across any issues in making PDFs from the Writer, just Draw.

Hi,

I'm not sure, but suggest that you look first to the settings under:
Tools -> Options
Expand OpenOffice.org and Select Print
Here you find a lot of settings you can play with.
Note that there are different settings for Printer and Print to File.

Regards,
Martin
