|
|
I am a writer and wanted to try using Writer instead of Word because of the available of security tweaks on the PDF export. I have all that straightened out ( I think) but I am having an issue with page counts.
The document was made in Word (I don't know if this makes a difference). In Word my manuscript is 336 pages but in Writer its 327 pages. Its really bothering me that pages are l lost (?). When its opened back in Word the page count is back to 336. The pdf I created from Writer has the 327 page count from writer.
For formating it carries the same margins Top .75, Left .75 Bottom .75 Right .50 and the page size is 6 by 9 in both programs. I cant see where these pages disappeared to so if it is an error I cant figure out how to fix it. Any assistance would be appreciated. I thank you in advance. _________________ Shoes & Socks: The Ultimate Love story |

I have always believed the the font metrics use in Word are slightly different than those use by the rest of the world.
Create a document in Word that is exactly 2 or 3 page long and then open it with Writer and see if there is a difference in the positions of the last character.
Put another way, I think all the text is in the shorter document. |
