Writer and Calc crash whenever I enter data or try to save.

I am running HP G60US Notebook PC with Vista home premium op system. Old Open Org worked very well. Latest download (3.3.0) never works, always crashes very soon after I open a new document- text or spreadsheet- when I enter data or try to save as. I reinstalled OO 3.3.0 but the problem persists. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

perhaps a reset of your user profile may help

(the idea of renaming it means you can you reverse the change if you want to)
