Maybe I can find a solution before this gets answered...

I created a macro. I want it to run when a button is pushed. I create the button, assign the macro to it. It works great. I save the file & close it. I open it back up, the button is there, but the macro isn't assigned to it anymore.

I have a feeling I am assigning the macro to the button in the wrong place.
I checked the macro security...I left it wide open...no help. I made sure the macro works...it does when running it from the Tools-Macros-Run or after it is reassigned to the button.

It's entirely possible that what I am trying to do isn't ment to be done.

sorry...put this in the wrong forum.

No I wasn't. Because I know some of the people who will use this spreadsheet only have excel (although I am liking Calc much better).

I saved it as an odf and it worked. Thanks.
