Quickstart popup menu - Hard-coded or configurable?

The Quickstart popup menu offers the following file type choices: Text Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Drawing, and From Template.

Is there a way to configure or alter the Quickstart popup menu to offer HTML Document as a file type or is the popup menu hard-coded?

I would like to add HTML Document to the list of file types Quickstart presently offers. As is, I have to select Template, wait for the popup box and then select New HTML document.

Adding HTML document type to Quickstart's popup menu would save me a lot of time, since I have adopted HTML as my document standard (for its versatility and availability to so many users).

Wat do you mean by hard-coded? Are you actually trying to code it via API?
If so I don't think you can do it via API, you probably have to hack the source for this to configure.
