|
|
Hi,
I'm having some trouble using both, LibreOffice and OpenOffice, on a Ubuntu 11.04.
I started out with the distribution-supported LibreOffice 3.3 but after a while (perhaps due to installing some other program?) I could only use LibreOffice as root. I couldn't solve the problem so I uninstalled it and installed it via the debian installation package provided by LibreOffice. The same problem occurred. I then again uninstalled LibreOffice and installed OpenOffice from the debian installer provided by OpenOffice. The problem persists.
Searching on the internet I notice that various people have run into the same problem, but none of the solutions proposed worked for me. Does anyone have an idea what is casing this behavior?
Regards,

Hello
I think you can better ask this on an Ubuntu forum. It seems me more a problem of the OS in your case Ubuntu and not of OOo. To solve it you need to know special things of Ubuntu and on few people here new that.

Thanks for this bug number. Now I at least know it is a confirmed bug.
