|
|
Hi,
I have a master document containing 5 subdocuments and I want to mirror the headers.
"inner": name
"outer": chapter-title
I know how to insert name and chapter but I have no idea how to mirror these headers. Of course I could assign different styles to left/right pages but that would be a lot of "hand-work". Furthermore, if I insert a page later I would have to change all pagestyles... to much work...
Does anybody know how to do this automatically
Thx!!

I'm afraid there is no othe3r way but to create 2 headers, one for the left pages and the other for the right pages.
Good luck and have fun. |

Here's how you should be able to do it, but I'm hitting a glitch getting it to work.
Under Page props
set Mirrored
turn on headers
Activate Insert floating toolbar
Insert a frame. click on frame border, select Frame for its props.
Select anchor to page, Mirrored. Drag into header.
Do same for another frame, on opposite side of header.
That should about do it. Unfortunately, it's not working in 680/56 |

| I'm now unable to save the doc because of the frames, some input error, so make sure you're backed up. |

Sorry, I don't get it....
Floating frames are for HTML-docs. How can they help me to mirror the headers?
Activate Insert Floating Toolbar? Where is it?
Mmmh....  |

Floating frames are for any kind of doc, but for some reason they're not repeating on each page. They're not anchorable to headers, either, so I suspect the header routine is superfluous to their use.
To turn on the Insert floater go View/Toolbars. I'm in OO2 snapshot 680/56. |
