| ODBC is a universal database connectivity client. Using that, you should be able to connect directly to an MS Access database file. Using only Openoffice, you can create databases tables in d-base format, but also eventually in Calc format or CSV format (plain text with deloimiters) (not really recommended for a more 'serious' database. CSV wuold be suited for a database backup or to translate beteween different databases). DBF and CSV can be connected to from MS access using ODBC. The calc format cannot. Consult both your MS Access manual and the OOo help for details on how to connect. |

| Yes, in dbf format. But the Linux version of OO won't sort (index) your data. The Windows version will sort data (just like Access). |
