Format Paintbrush doesn't work as expected. Like we copy format from some cell and try it on other cell. It still retains some older properties of the cell. Like font and color still retains the same. So we have to manually adjust font and color. So whole point of using format paintbrush seems useless.  |

According to the Help file: when Text within Calc cells is selected paintbrush copy is Not supported.

Of Course expected by me.
And I am not selecting text. I am selecting cell as formatting. But I am wondering, that cell is having some properties and the text within different sometimes. Howz that possible? |

Hi,
According to the same Help file: Calc table or cells are selected: should result in Copies the formatting that is specified in the Format - Cells dialog as well as the formatting of the cell contents.
It works for me. Only problem I could see is when you have set Conditional Formatting or have selected text in the cell and formatted in the Function bar.
