Hi all,

I've looked around and read up on similar problems, but can't find a solutions to two of my specific issues:

My document is an approximately 100 page long booklet. It has a TOC and something like 10 chapters. I need the chapters to each have their own page header.

I have seen the posts that show you how to create a first page with no header and a page with headers from there onwards by using diffrent page styles and inserting a manual page break, but I haven't managed to apply that method to my problem so far, but I suppose I can work that out - this doesn't seem to be a big problem.

A rather more unnerving issue is that the manual page breaks I insert create actual whitespace (an empty new line) on the page, wreaking havoc with my unfortunately very crowded layout. Is there any way around this?

Thanks for reading this and I'd greatly appreciate any pointers as to how to solve this.

TJ

First, page styles are the way to go. It's just how many you will need. Try Tutorial on Page styles and headers/footers.
