I am new to Open Office and have 2 problems I am hoping someone can help me with:
1. Re. converting a spreadsheet document to a PDF, after highlighting the content I want to convert, when I click on the PDF icon, a lot of my content is not being copied onto the new PDF document.
2. I am a new I-Mac owner...When I converted from a PC, i transferred all my my files, templates, etc....Now, when I print a document, not all the content prints, (the content on the margin edges of the document).... I can't figure out how to adjust the margins to where the entire width of the document prints.
Sure appreciate any help you might be able to provide.

For Item #1: install a PDF Print utility like PDF Creator. Go to www.sourceforge.net and I think you'll find one there for your Mac. To make a PDF, do a normal "File, Print" operation, select the "PDF Printer" as the "Printer", then create a file name for the finished output, then click the OK button. A PDF "printout" to the file will be generated, containing all the content you selected.
For Item #2: are you sure your printer is properly set-up (page size, print area, etc.)? if it is, when you select an area to print select "Format, Page" and set your margins and the paper orientation (Portrait or Landscape). Remember, most printers have a "dead area" (i.e., non-printable) of 0.5" (typically) around the edge of the paper. If you're printing a "large" area, select "Format, Sheet" (after setting the margins!) and set the "Scaling Mode" to "Fit print range(s) to width/height" via the drop-down menu box. Then, tell it how many pages to use for width/height.
That should take care of your print problem. Let us know if this helps... _________________ I'm making perfect sense - you're just not keeping up! |
