|
|
Hi,
I need to create a .rtf file with embedded images. Because after saved on my pc, i need to send it on a remote server, where do user open and print them.
When user open the page, they will not find the images.
In some forum I read that images on .rtf stay outside file.
Is it true?
If yes, how can I made my file complete of images?
TIA

No it isn't, but RTF support in OOo is quite poor. Export to PDF is a better option but if you have to work with RTF, better do it with MS Word. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

The images are saved in the RTF file - as binary data. I saved a few samples with JPG graphics (photos to be exact) and they were opened fine in Word and OOo.
There are a few possibilities for the bad behaviour in your case: either you use an older version of OOo (what version are you using and on what operating system, by the way?) or you have another kind of graphics that RTF or the program that your recipients use has trouble with. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

Nothing - they're saved inside the file by default. I don't even know if RTF supports links to images. Keep in mind however that if people who receive your file have other RTF support than you, it will still fail. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

Hi,
thank you.
I apologize for my first messages (they were unclear) but I was writing from my phone
Now, I'm writing from pc!
so you are telling me that the prob is not the inside/outside file images. Isn't it?
But the different version of rtf interpreter (openoffice could have different version of rtf and differences between openoffice and word)
This is the prob?
Is there a solutions?
TIA

It isn't. It might be the file format - if your recipients don't have support for the file format you are sending. But I don't think so. I'll send you a PM with my mail address, then you can send me a file to test what's going on. _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista
