I have installed some fonts into OpenOffice for a one-time special use case. Now that I'm finished with them, I want to remove them from the list to reduce unwanted clutter.
I have:
-- opened FONTS in control panel and removed the fonts. They no longer show up there.
-- Opened the list of fonts in explorer and removed them from the FONTS folder. The fonts are gone from the folder list.
-- Closed OpenOffice and re-opened. All fonts are still in the drop down list.
Because I do work for clients and from time to time install specific fonts for them, that I won't or can't use elsewhere, I need to know how to remove the font from the dropdown list when I'm finished with it.
Suggestions? |

Not sure if I can help - I install and uninstall dozens of fonts frequently. The only culprit usually involved when fonts remain in limbo is that the Windows Font Registry still has them listed.
I use Serif Font Manager (a bit creaky in 64-bit). Adobe Type Manager's actually better, but only for XP. In these managers you can access the Windows Font Registry easier, or if technical, use a registry editor, and there delete entries.. Of course, re-starting is often the cure. Other than those ruminations I'm not able to be a guru.G'luck! |
