After adding all of my slides I can't get any movement of the slideshow off of the 1st slide. No matter what I do it just sits on the 1st slide.
Slide Transition and Task Pane has no effect. Its as if I'm missing the parts of the program that allows the slideshow to play with automatic movement and music.
I'm new at this so please forgive me if I'm not as clear as I should be !!! |

roshge, if you uploaded the file to MediaFire with the intent of having people on this forum to look at it and help you with it, it would be helpful to include a link to the exact file. _________________ Laugh at life or life will laugh at you. |

I'm new at this.
I'm starting at a "young" age in my 80's.
I'm confused as to what the link is.
All I did was upload the file via Mediafire.
I will send it again if you could please explain how I do that and get a ":Link"?
Thank you !!! |

The notification you received was because someone posted a spam-related message. That post has since been deleted. _________________ Laugh at life or life will laugh at you. |

Hi,
First of all congratulations with your granddaughter.
I'm pretty sure that within the next couple of years she will teach you OpenOffice.
In the mean time you can add sound to Impress (the OpenOffice version of PowerPoint) by selecting an existing sound from the pull down menu in the Slide Transition menu.
Whenever you present the Presentation with OpenOffice this sound will play, but if you save it as PowerPoint it will not play because PowerPoint has no knowledge of the location of the sound files.
If you select an Other Sound in the menu it will play in OpenOffice and PowerPoint given that present the Presentation from your PC.
When you distribute the Presentation you also have to distribute the sound file and save it in the same path as your PC.

Re: message from MGROCNESCHEIJ dated 2/11/12
Thank you for your congratulations for my great granddaughter !!!
I have tried adding sound both of the ways that you recommend with NO success.
I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what it is.
Is there any way for you to take the record that I previously sent you and see if you can add sound.
Thanks for the help !!!! |
