|
|
Y is dollars. X is day of the year. I want to draw three vertical lines marking 3/31, 6/30, 9/30. The primary X is a day of the year(column A) and secondary X is quarter (column B).
Column B only has a value entered on quarterly dates ie: 0,1,2,3,4 entered on 12/31, 3/31, 6/30, 9/30, 12/31. I've gotten the secondary X to display the 0,1,2,3,4 but can't get a dividing line drawn up the chart on those days. The secondary X axis "format axis" shows the "scale" tab with grayed out unchangeable values.

Perhaps you should be using the X-Y (Scatter) chart type where you have much greater control over what is displayed.
See attached doc (Delineated Quarters.ods)...

Thanks. I'll change the title to solved as soon as I figure out your example. At first glance it seems to do exactly what I want. _________________ Steve |

OK, got it going but it's going to be a while until understand it completely. So far I just pasted my data into the example and adjusted the scales. But I'm on the way. _________________ Steve |
