|
|
I appear to have a problem with finding a trendline in OOo Calc.
On the forum I found this about it:
| Quote: | | format > object properties > statistics > regression curves |
So, I first selected my data range on the chart I had created, and then I did what is mentioned here above.
Now, I am using an XY-chart, and maybe I selected the wrong one to be able to generate the right chart to get a trendline, but under "Statistics" I do not get the option for a regression curve.
The options I get are:
"Mean Value
Error category -------------------------
No function
Variance
Standard deviation
Percentage
Error margin
Constant value"
According to me, this has more to do with statistics than an ordinary collection of points in a graph. Maybe I am using the wrong type of graph to present just some relation between data. Or my idea about a regression curve is totally wrong, but I need to have a trendline in it.
(I have to admit, the term trendline comes from my knowledge about MS Excel, which is, though I hate to admit it, looking more and more attractive for this work.)
Anyone of any help in this?
Btw: using OOo 1.1.3 |
