|

Hi!
I'm trying to create an Illustration Index for my thesis and I can generate one that shows either the Fig. numbers or the text caption, but not both. There doesn't seem to be an option for showing the number and the title of the illustration. I'm a bit confused because I don't understand what use it would be to have one but not the other, so I'm wondering if I've gone wrong somewhere along the process... Can anyone help?
Many thanks,
Stef |

Is there no answer to this question?

I fiddled around with it and found that the best option is to add the caption to the Fig numbers text. So if the default numbering for illustrations is "Illustration #", insert the graphic, then click outside the graphic, then click in the text "Illustration #" (where # is the number), move the cursor to the far right and enter your caption text instead of adding it as a separate caption (which may be meant for adding a somewhat larger block of text of several lines instead of a title). _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista
