| I have problems with closing Calc. When it is running you can just close it as usual. However, it seems it's somehow running on backgroud. When I try to delete files I earlier used with Calc, I get a message "The action can't be completed because the file is open in OpenOffice.org 3.3" although I have closed the file and program. Similar problems arises when I try to save output window of statistical software Stata as an xml file by replacing an existing file with a file that has the same file name as the existing one. Any suggestions how to solve the problem? |

It sounds more like an operating system problem than an OOo problem.
What OS and what versions of Ooo ans Stata are you using?
If it's Windows I always recommend a complete shutdown and a coffee break. It seems to cure some odd Windows quirks. _________________ jrkrideau

Make sure you are not in formula edit mode. Just hit escape several times to get you out of the cell's content. Then try closing calc.
All to Often I am not able to close calc or get it to do anything as I am editing the cell formula or content.
One possibility _________________ OO 3.3 XP |

Thanks for the replies.
Yeah, it might also be an OS problem. I'm using OO 3.3 on Windows 7.
Can't remember if I was editing cells while closing Calc. I'll keep that in my mind to see if it helps. |

I notice this more when I have 2 spread sheets open. I will be editing a formula and tabbing between the seperate documents. When done with one I cannot close it as I have not left the other document's cell edit mode. _________________ OO 3.3 XP |
