New 3.5 install cant access templates

QUERY - CANNOT ACCESS TEMPLATES via normal methods
I've installed LibreOffice 3.5. in Win 7. When I open a new Template via New, Templates and Documents..., or via the button in the middle, or via File, Templates - Organise, I get 2 warnings, both saying 'could not create document: templates [sic] already exists.' Then no templates are shown.
So I went to my Options, where Paths shows Templates in C/Programs [x86]. I reset in Paths the location of the Templates folder to where LO 3.4.2 had put them.
Still got the same warnings.
My templates are obviously ver. 3.4.2; do I have to save them all in 3.5? Seems unlikely; 3.5 just can't get me to my templates folder when I pick New... ?
I had to uninstall OL 3.4.2 to get 3.5 to install, yet OL 3.5 has picked up my options for default fonts, for instance. Don't know the implications of this.
Anyone have a clue?

I see this behavior on V3.5 with win7 also. Looks like a bug to me.

And you can't get rid of the problem by reloading an earlier version, ugh!

Had to go back all the way to OO 3.3.

I was able to go back to 3.4.5 by renaming the user profile http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=12426 and copying the templates folder from the from the renamed profile to the new one.

After renaming the user profile I was able to successfully install/run version 3.5

3.5 as installed became DIABOLICAL! Upon re-installing 3.5 after no access to templates, it selectively failed to find numerous fonts! Checked that fonts were installed and available, but Libre 3.5 couldn't find them
So I'm back with 3.4, and until a bug free 3.5 appears, I'm not going near it!
Thanx for the replies anyway - i'll be back to update sometime...
