I have use OO for some time and always found it easy. Much better than some others.
However something happened to the spell check. I checked to make sure it is set "on" but when I start spell check it goes to the prompt "spell check complete" without having done ANYTHING.
I uninstalled and reinstalled OO but this did not fix the problem.
I do have work due tomorrow. |

Seems strange, after reading forever on troubleshooting a simple idea occurred to me:
try opening a new OO writer doc. (because I un/ reinstalled OO.)
-the spell check worked, then I retried opening my old document, spell check still no go.
-solution, cut and paste- discard old file.
way to easy |

Hi,
Without seeing your document I only can guess, so maybe I'm totally wrong.
Have you checked the Language settings in your old document with the default language in Tools --> Options ... Languages Settings ...Language Local setting
and Tools --> Options ... Languages Settings ... Language ... Default language for documents?
Also try Tools --> Language .. For all text and check that the language packages are downloaded.
