I don't know if this pertains to Open Office, but previously I was able to start Open Office from the terminal by entering the command 'ooffice'. Now when I enter that command, nothing happens.
My os is CentOS and I am remotely connecting to a server. To my knowledge, nothing has been done to the server that should cause the problem. |

I'm not sitting in front of my Linux computer (they won't let me use Linux at work), but on my Windows computer, the command is "soffice" rather than "ooffice." I don't know if that helps at all or not.
The "S" is a throwback to StarOffice, OpenOffice.org's predecessor (for lack of a better term). They are still using that, even though I'm on OpenOffice.org's replacement, LibreOffice. _________________ Laugh at life or life will laugh at you. |

| "soffice" is a recognized command, but it still does not start Open Office. It seems like Open Office starts to run, but is closed immediately before it even shows its startup screen. |
