Greetings all,

I switched to using OpenOffice some time ago, but have only really scratched the surface of its functionality before. And now I'm trying to do something slightly more complicated than usual, I've found myself totally stuck!

Firstly, I am trying to create hyperlinks to open .pdf files, on a spreadsheet which is to be distrubuted to several coworkers. The idea is for the .pdfs to be found in the same folder as the spreadsheet, and thus I'm trying to create relative URLs which simply read "whatever.pdf".

Unfortunatly, while these show up as hyperlinks, clicking on them does nothing at all. Calc seems to want to create absolute URLs, which do work - but the chances of my colleagues having the exact same path as me are pretty much zero!

I'm sure I'm doing something obvious wrong, but I can't figure out what it is, and havn't been able to find any guidance already posted.

The other thing that I'm about to try and do is create a simple macro, which will paste a short colum (5 cells or so) of data from the clipboard, then reorder it into a row (if necessary, by simply cutting each cell and pasting it into the correct spot). I would be appreciative of a link to an "idiot's guide" to macro writing, and even more appreciative of any suggestions, since I've never touched macro creation, either in Calc or in Excel.

Many thanks in advance for any help.
