hi guys,

i use the api of open office but i don't want to have to start open office for that. is it possible to access openoffice functionality through a dll? or is it possible to - if i have to - start openoffice "invisible"? or as a service?

regards,
lukas

I don't know of any way to directly use the dll's of OOo. It might be possible, who knows. Of course, the dll's are subject to change without notice. The API will remain stable forever and ever and ever, amen.

See the links in another reply I just wrote today...

There is no problem to use cppuhelper.dll : there is an example in the SDK (and comes with SDK). But what you can do with this dll is roughly nothing interesting. The most interesting things are done with OOo working ...
I have not tried but i think a great part of chapter 3 in my document can work without OOo running.
