If the file is .msi, you should just be able to open it just like a .exe file (.msi is a "Microsoft Installer" file). If Windows 7 can't open it, then either something is wrong with the download or something is wrong with Windows.
If you have something other than a .msi file, then you probably downloaded a file for a different operating system (Linux, Mac, etc.). _________________ Laugh at life or life will laugh at you. |

Where did you download it and what is the file supposed to be for? _________________ LibreOffice 3.6.3; OOo 3.4.1 on Windows Vista

| Downloads from SourceForge are being tested. A configuration problem is resulting in files downloaded using Internet Explorer to not have the .exe file extension. If the MD5 checksum of the file is correct, add the .exe file extension to the downloaded file. Windows should then be able to recognize the file. |

The problem has been fixed. Downloads from SourceForge now have the .exe file extension even when using Internet Explorer.
