i have founf where it is getting the GKP from - it is the name of a company,
but that is way down in the spreadsheet and is not in a currency format.
It never did this before - and the GKP has been there for a very long time -strange indeed |

Hi,
Switch off the AutoInput function under Tools --> Cell Content.

Thank you very much for that reply.
Admittedly i don't know the specifics of auto input
with Excel - sometime autoinput worked sometimes not,
my feeling was that the two cells involved had to be close to one another
or no vacant cells between.
i deleted the GKP since it was no longer required,
but it nice to know how to sort this out in future.
thanks |
