| Hi! I did a search and didn't quite find anyone else with this issue. I am sure it isn't complicated, but I can't figure out how to do it. I want to scan a document and not have it as jpeg, but a program type that I can use to open/read in Open Office and then eventually convert to a pdf. I can't figure out how to make that happen. Can anyone out there help me with it? Thank you so much! |

| Scanning always results in a picture. You need to use OCR software on the picture to convert it to real text. Many scanners provide OCR software. If yours didn't the try Googling "free OCR". |
