|
|
I am new to OOWriter.
This requires history to explain.
I wrote and developed a sixty page document using MS Works, under Windows of course, saved always as rtf .
It included several forced page throws. On screen these were identified by a dotted line below the last text on the page above.
I imported this work into OOWriter, wrote more saving as doc . The forced new pages remained but without a visible symbol.
Now the forced page throws are unwanted.
I have tried removal by selecting then deleting the before and after paragraphs, the new page commands survive.
I have tried to move work from beyond the problem to above the forced page, hoping to move the new page to the end of the document. The result is an extra new page at the same page number, and the old new page is retained moving down.
If I could save as rtf then I would edit as txt . My OOWriter does not provide this.
I hope someone can suggest how to solve this problem.
My thanks to you for your interest. |

I can save to rtf with Libreoffice 3.5.2. I'm quite sure that this capability is in Writer. What version of OOo do you have? |

Stop.
Thanks to you I have discovered the details of Save as .. .
Previously I missed the options at the bottom of the screen. And rtf is there. |

All corrected now.
The fault was an unwanted keep with next .
The only fault was my own.
I am grateful to thomasjk whose contribution led me here. |
