Hello to everyone!
Firstly I would say that I am sorry if there is something like this already being discussed. If so, please just give me a link.
Here is the problem! Recently we, at company where I work decided to go with Open Office. We have some ERP software which does reports in MS Word. I gave it address of OO Writer, and when did report, it doesn't work it just gives error: ActiveX component can't create object.
So does anyone has some solution?
Thanks! |

Hi,
Does your ERP system create reports in word or is word accessing the ERP system.
If your ERP system create reports in word than there is nothing you can change other than opening the word document in OpenOffice.
If word is accessing the ERP system, you should be able to access the ERP system from OpenOffice as well.

Open office writer software is opensource, so it works together well with the open erp system. You need to install open erp pulgin and configure the plugin. You can virtually change any report that is provided by open erp. you can navigate to your open erp menu in the open office writer and select modify existing report.
